Earth Defence Force 4.1:The Shadow of New Despair is due by the end of the year over here, according to PQube on RiceDigital, and will probably support the PS4’s extra power with a few hundred more enemies on screen at once because, hey, that’s what they do. It’s been confirmed that the game will be a “re-imagining” of Earth Defense Force 2025 but will be very different from the previous game at the same time.
Meanwhile, the Vita release is a remake of the classic PS2 Global Defence Force 2, considered one of the highlights of the series.
